Lockdown
When a mom picks up her daughter from high school, she finds herself in a deadly fight for survival.
Lockdown is a short film by award-winning Writer/Director Melanie Jeffcoat and was inspired by her own experience in high school when a classmate came to school with a gun and killed her history teacher and then shot and wounded two classmates. It stars Hannah Riley of Better Things and Chicago Med.
** TW: there is no blood, you never see anyone get shot, you never see anyone shoot anyone. We had no interest in re-traumatizing anyone nor did we want to glorify violence in any way. Like in the movie, Jaws, it is always more terrifying when you don’t know where the monster could be. And that is how we are asking children to endure their school years.
