It’s Only 47°C
A blistering heat wave pushes a city to its limits, and Traffic Constable Laxman Choubey becomes its quiet witness. Moving through a suffocating home, a scorching traffic post, and a brief afternoon pause with workers already stretched thin, the film explores how extreme weather sharpens class divides and wears down the people most exposed to it. At the end of his exhausting shift, Laxman locks eyes with a young girl sitting inside an air-conditioned car, a moment that crystallises the distance between those who endure the heat and those insulated from it. Ultimately, the film becomes a study of climate inequality, told through the stillness and strain of a man carrying a burden others never have to feel.
